Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most from Tulsa-area homeowners.

What’s the difference between water damage remediation and restoration?

Remediation is the emergency phase — extracting standing water, drying out the structure, and stopping further damage or mold growth. Restoration includes remediation plus the repair work afterward — replacing drywall, flooring, and anything else that couldn’t be saved — to get your home back to normal. We handle both as one job, start to finish.

How much does it cost for a water damage restoration company to come out?

Most companies, including us, don’t charge just to come assess active water damage — the initial inspection is part of getting you a real estimate. Actual restoration costs depend on how much water damage you have and how long it sat before drying began; typical jobs run $1,400–$16,000+ depending on severity. We’ll give you a firm number after seeing the damage in person.

Is water damage ever permanent, or can it always be restored?

Most water damage is restorable if it’s addressed quickly — materials dried within 24–48 hours can often be saved. Damage left untreated for days or weeks is more likely to require full replacement rather than repair, especially once mold or structural rot sets in.

How is water damage restoration priced?

Pricing is based on the size of the affected area, the category of water involved (clean, gray, or contaminated/blackwater), and how much repair work is needed after drying. We inspect the damage in person and give you a written estimate before any work begins — no surprise charges once the job starts.

How quickly should I call after I notice water damage?

As soon as you notice it. Mold can begin growing in wet materials within 24–48 hours, and the longer water sits, the more of your home becomes unsalvageable instead of repairable. If it’s an active leak or flooding, call us before doing anything else.

Will my homeowners insurance cover water damage restoration?

Often, yes, for sudden and accidental damage like a burst pipe or storm — but coverage depends on your specific policy and what caused the damage. Gradual leaks or damage from lack of maintenance are commonly excluded. We document everything thoroughly and can work directly with your adjuster, but we can’t promise coverage; confirm your policy’s terms with your insurer.

How can I tell if I have mold after a water leak?

Common signs are a musty smell, visible dark or fuzzy spots on drywall or ceilings, or discoloration that keeps returning after cleaning. Mold can also grow behind walls or under flooring where you can’t see it. If you’re not sure, our inspection finds it — and finds the moisture source keeping it alive.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?

Yes. Water damage doesn’t happen on a schedule, so we answer calls and dispatch technicians around the clock, every day of the year — not just during business hours.
